D & D Repair was started in 1987 by Dale and Dave Clintsman. They started operating out of the farm shop on the home farm in Loyal, WI. The initial work was on trucks, cars, and tractors, and farm equipment. It expanded in a short time to include wrecker service.
Dave continued to operate the business with the help of his wife, Sherry, after his dad passed away in 1993. The business was moved in 2002 to Dave's home, where a new shop was built. He no longer has the wrecker service, but has grown to include semi-repairs and aluminum welding.
Dave got interested in the tractor wheel business when his son and daughter worked for Detwiler Tractors and were involved in the making and selling of them. D & D Repair started making the wheels for Detwilers after a time, and then bought them out.
Dave takes his mechanical abilities to other areas as well. He services vehicles every year for 1-2 weeks at Kings Castle Ministries, Lake Cotepeque, El Salvador. He also helps keep vehicles and lawn equipment running at City on a Hill in Milwaukee, when needed. He is always looking for volunteers to come and help. There are other areas to serve in as well.
